I enjoy working with the medium of clay. I like this medium in particular because of the tactile nature of it. I enjoy being able to create artwork with something that started as a raw, unprocessed, material. It functions as an additive and subtractive material and variety within clay culture is something I find very attractive. I choose to create art relating to my own personal aesthetic. I find often that objects that I see lack appeal to me. I am very particular about the space I occupy and who/what I invite into it. When I discovered a lack of objects/forms/designs that were accessible to me and my particular aesthetic, I decided to make my own. My work reflects my identity and culture and gives insight into the world that I want to live in, and the art that I want to be surrounded by.
